Project affiliation guide

This guide outlines the process for affiliating a research project within ACROBATIC. Affiliation provides access to funding opportunities, inclusion in the national research network, and increased visibility.

What is project affiliation?

Project affiliation means that a research project is formally linked with ACROBATIC. Affiliated projects can apply for funding, benefit from our collaborative network, and benefit from ACROBATIC’s national infrastructures and clinical focus areas.

Why affiliate a project?

  • Access to ACROBATIC funding opportunities.
  • Inclusion in a strong national research network across institutions.
  • Visibility as part of ACROBATIC’s official project portfolio.
  • Support in ensuring scientific compliance.

Eligibility criteria

  • The project must fall within ACROBATIC’s clinical focus areas (Clinical Focus Areas)
    • CFA1: Prehabilitation and preoperative risk assessment
    • CFA2: Surgical innovation and technique
    • CFA3: Survivorship
  • The project should preferable be national according to DCCC’s Guidelines for a national project:
    • There are participants (institutions / treatment centers) both east and west of the Great Belt.
    • At least three departments from different regions, or at least two universities, are involved.
    • If it concerns a rare cancer area, the requirement for three units can be deviated from.
    • If the initiative is cross-sectoral (hospitals, municipalities, etc.), at least three actors from both region and municipality should be involved.
    • If the project is not national, plans for achieving national implementation must be described, including any basic research, proof-of-concept, observational, feasibility, RCT, register, etc., supporting this.
